I want to replace the upper control arm bushings in my 88 GL. The Bentley and a previous post regarding this subject makes most of the job seem pretty straightforward. One exception to straightforward is the spot weld Bentley calls for when the new bushings are pounded/pressed in to keep them from spinning. The previous post covering this repair made no mention of the spot welds. Does this mean that most of you who have done this job have gotten by without the spot weld? Noel |
