One way back, I was a displaying artist at an art show. Met this chick that really caught my attention. We chatted, lightly, but she was aloof, distant. Somehow the converstaion got to a discussion of places we had been, lived, worked. There was still that remoteness, that distance. Then I said. " I used to be at Los Alamos. Things don't work quite like they use to, but it does glow in the dark"

Two rode as one on the road home that night.
