Whenever my radio is tuned to a marginal AM signal, I hear a burst of static as I shift from 3rd to 4th. It is the same sound I expect to hear when I rachet the headlight relay. In my moments of idleness, I have pondered the reason that this charge in transition presents itself, but I find no real satisfaction in my speculation. For no other reason than curiosity, does anyone have an explanation of what might be causing this bump in the ether? Rich |
