Before the latest Double this and Triple that filters hit the market the best paper filter on the market was the AC filter. This was provided my a study that I no longer have. I got the study from the f-body list. If I remember correctly the Purolator filter was in the top three. Fram was not rated very high other than their excellent tv ads.
