I don't know if the oil will burn or not.  We used to use WD-40 (with
the can upside down) as HMMWV starting fluid as a matter of routine.
 The changed it a couple of years ago.  The biggest tragedy is that I
can no longer do simulated napalm runs on the ants invading my patio.
