<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV> <P>Go to vanagon.com and do an archive search for "hesitation". Tons of info and test procedures. 2 possibilities that stuck out. 02 sensor and ECU. When it stumbles next time, unpluge the 02 sensor. I would also start with that if your "shooting from the hip". It's cheap!</P> <P>Randy Charrette</P> <P>87 Syncro<BR><BR></P></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>&gt;From: Bob Stevens <MTBIKERBOB@MSN.COM> <DIV></DIV>&gt;Reply-To: Bob Stevens <MTBIKERBOB@MSN.COM> <DIV></DIV>&gt;To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM <DIV></DIV>&gt;Subject: Bucking and Snorting on Fwy <DIV></DIV>&gt;Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 13:43:48 -0700 <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt;Know I've seen this problem visited on here but don't have firm <DIV></DIV>&gt;memory of <DIV></DIV>&gt;the solution...or actually what the problem is...help please: <DIV></DIV>&gt;On my way to work today, about 10 minutes after starting my precious <DIV></DIV>&gt;beast, <DIV></DIV>&gt;I was accelerating onto the freeway and had very little <DIV></DIV>&gt;accelleration at <DIV></DIV>&gt;first, then when holding the accelerator down, it began to slow <DIV></DIV>&gt;gradually. <DIV></DIV>&gt;(On my way to the freeway on surface streets, no problem.) I pulled <DIV></DIV>&gt;to the <DIV></DIV>&gt;right side of the roadway and shifted down into "2" (automatic) and <DIV></DIV>&gt;same <DIV></DIV>&gt;results. When I would pump the pedal quickly it would accelerate <DIV></DIV>&gt;slightly <DIV></DIV>&gt;while sputtering and bucking. When I held the pedal still it would <DIV></DIV>&gt;only <DIV></DIV>&gt;slowly decellerate. and finally smoothed out and I could proceed as <DIV></DIV>&gt;normal. <DIV></DIV>&gt;Question: is this the idle/air mixture device behind the right rear <DIV></DIV>&gt;tailight? <DIV></DIV>&gt;Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt;Bob Stevens <DIV></DIV>&gt;'91 Westy <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt;_________________________________________________________________ <DIV></DIV>&gt;Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <DIV></DIV>&gt;http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp <DIV></DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag_itl_EN.asp'>http://explorer.msn.com</a><br></html>
