This is a horrible PITA. '82, '83, '84 all use different expansion tanks, hoses, and coolant pipes. The least expensive fix is to locate the correct model expansion tank for your engine. I know, there aren't any. When you find them, they are $60-80. Still cheaper than the big coolant hose the connects to the head. Maybe someone on the list has a used one. Unfortunately, I do not.
