There is a relay behind the fuse panel under the dash (have to unscrew and drop the fuse panel to access it) that has to make for the heater blowers to work. It's marked with a big 24 on the top.

You didn't say if you had tried both front and rear blowers during those times "it" wouldn't work.

If you find that they both work .... then both don't work .... this relay is the likely culprit.
