In my experience, you can't beat the filters that VW uses: Bosch and Mann. I can get the oem Mann filters for my diesel for under ten bucks, about the same price Napa charges for a Napa gold. The German Mann filters are much better. Same with air filters. A Fram filter has a lot less media in it, I'd estimate 2/3 as much.

How about the diesel filter? They only list a regular Purolator filter for the diesel, not a PureOne. Does anyone know if any other PureOne sizes will work? (I even tried the Volvo TD fitment, but they don't make a PureOne for it either).

I've been searching for a premium diesel filter for a while, mostly the Baldwin brand, but can't find anyone that sells them around here. Apparently they make a B114 oil filter to fit the D/TD applications.======================== Shawn Wright Computer Systems Manager Shawnigan Lake School http://www.sls.bc.ca swright@sls.bc.ca
