>andrew, do you have any pics fo the regulators? do i assume that's >motors plus regulators? do you know if the vw harnesses and switches >(the way the wiring is currently set up) will run with the new units?
No images, unfortunately (I don't have a scanner or digital camera). I believe these units are slower than stock, but far more reliable. They are complete regulators, with Bosch motors. apperently they don't have the stock speaker-clearance problem, but don't take my word for that! I would think that you could use your existing wiring and switches, but you would need to figure out the connectionns, and possibly have to adapt the wiring from VW switch to Electric-Life motor. If the E-L switches are genuine VW, then there's no problem. I intend to fit 2-door Japanese armrests with switchgear built-in, rather than use theb tacked-on vertical (unergonomic!!!) VW-style switches. > >or should i ask vito? >i love the idea of asking a guy named vito a question. i suppose i'll >have to phrase it well to avoid meeting his "friends"...
His friends don't call him "Don". I hope... But feel free to ask questions... he answered a lot of mine. Regards Andrew |
