Just kidding! Congrats on the blue/green plaid Westy. In my opinion this is the best interior Westfalia ever offered. The blue/green plaid was only available in '74 and '75 on the white or yosemite yellow models. Yours could only be better if it was yosemite yellow like my '74 Westy. If you have the original canvas in the poptop, it should also match the yosemte yellow color, though it's likely faded a bit. The only other color offered on the '74 - '75 Westy was orange, also with matching canvas and matching orange plaid interior. I like this plaid so much that I've taken to collecting the fabric. I even know of one guy who has a whole roll of the stuff but won't let go of it. I will one day recover my front seats, and have a set of curtains and maybe a couple of throw pillows made. My wife threatens to use it to make me a kilt.
For now the front seats are still holding their own. The tie dyed curtains are getting a little sun faded, so maybe this winter we will do the curtain project. The original curtains would have been green. I still have the front window snap in curtain. Steve Lashley SKL Enterprises Inc. http://EuroCampers.com 636-797-9015 636-789-2127 fax |
