Just replaced the coolent expansion tank on my 84GL leaker. Decided to clean and check the coolent level sensor. Pulled the connector and expected the flashing LED on the clock to flash but it didn't. Checked the manual and there is nothing about the coolent level sensor. Really not much in the Bently with regard to the operation of this sensor. Does anyone have any information on the response that should occur if this circuit is opened? Is there an interface/signal conditioning device in the instrument cluster that processes the low level signals from this sensor (basically measuring conductivity of the coolent) which then feeds the flasher circuitry?
