Hello:

Just joined the group. Owned a '78 Cargo van with 2.0 L pancake engine when I was in college (many moons ago) and just picked up an '85 Vanagon which apparently has a bum automatic transmission. Any NJ residents out there with suggestions on a good shop to have tranny rebuilt? I'll probably pull and box it myself so I suppose I could ship elsewhere.

Been perusing the archives a little and am looking forward to "talking bus" again.

Cheers,

Colin
