I have just unsubscribed from this list. Fifty to 60 messages a day are just
too much for me and I do not want to spend that much time.

In addition, Way too much personal crap for me and way over reaction to
simple expression of individuality with arbitrary unilateral rules. I may
tune in again in the future. We shall see.

For now let me say that I am enjoying perfecting my 89 Vanagon. I am now
getting rid of all the little rust spots and getting all the minor things
done at a dealer Monday like hoses, this and that in preparation for a trip
from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas in Baja Mexico with my fiancée for whom I
bought the Vanagon. She loves it and has only seen photos. She will arrive
from Vietnam in a month or so for our wedding. Then we will be off for a
honeymoon in our new Vanagon probably to the grand canyon, Las Vegas, maybe
Lake Tahoe & San Francisco. We shall see.

It will be interesting to do a Vanagon honeymoon. We are both looking
forward to it. I'd love to share it with you all but I'm off your "private
list" as of today. Anyone wanting to email me may if you with to.

Maybe in the future I will share my "dry humor" with you again. Obviously a
few took me way too literally. If any of you are interested in my private

They are not related to Vanagons but they are related to community, of which
this list is an excellent example.

I love my new Vanagon. I loved working on the body today and getting rid of
every minor spot of rust. Tomorrow I tackle the very small dent on the left
rear fender with a fender tool, a little bondo and some paint. I'm just a
perfectionist and don't even like a dent one inch long. Go figure, but I
want the Vanagon to be spotless for my fiancée. I'm even installing an
automatic antenna Tuesday.
