Howdy all-
The books say that a little rust on cams might be ok, but pitting is bad
because the cams are surface hardened. My rebuilt engine has been sitting on
the floor of the van until I get time to put it in. In the meantime, a fine
patina of rust has formed on the cam lobes. This even though I covered them
with wd-40 and motor oil. I can just about wipe the rust away with my
finger, but it worries me. Any thoughts??? Thanks in advance.
