There are several approaches to improving the AC system available:

1. increasing the capacity of the existing system; a: Tinted windows b: Change the pulley ratio and spin the compressor faster c: Install a clear plastic curtain between the drivers area and the rear seating so the driver gets the cooling.

2. installing a higher capacity system to replace the existing one; a: Insulate the freon lines

3. Installing a secondary AC system to provide additional heat-rejection capacity; a: Insulate your side and roof panels

4. Alternative approaches not listed. a: Use a roof mount unit like used on imported diesel 2-4 ton cab over trucks. Ie Isuzu, UD etc.
