OK, I'm digging through my old VW/Porsche magazines. Anyway, in the May/June
1986 issue, there is an article on page 38 about VW engineers using
turbodiesel parts to make a turbo inline-4 Golf engine and getting 140
reliable HP's out of a 1.8.

Interesting reading.
