Subject: Should I buy on T3 or T4 syncro, advice please.
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Dear All, I an new to the list as I have a 1979 T2 which I am trying to sell at present as it is too slow, to maintanece intensive and too fuel inefficinet.

I am looking for a van to convert into a camper again that can: - cope with a bit of off road use. - do 140km/h on the highway in Germany without burning a whole in my pocket. Be affordable.

I can get get my parents T3 syncro which is sadly a projektzwo conversion with lots of spoilers and is also lowered and has no diff. Locks.

I am also looking at a T4 LWB with a diff lock.

Has anyone got experience with T4 syncro? What are the largest tirs one can fit for off-road use? What do I need to loock out for? Waht is the C-colum weld problem?

Thanks for your help.

Lukas
