Mike: This is a fairly common occurance in my driveway. I had to remove the header, soak with PB blaster, tap and apply vice grips. Some shops will weld a piece of square stock to the stub for more grip. I am chicken. I have usually found I was unable to get a grip, literally and figuratively. My plan B is to carefully file the stub flat, center punch a little divot and break out the right angle drill. Use lots of oil and start with a brand-new small bit. Increase drill sizes until you are ready to tap new threads. Drill out too big? Plan C is a Heli-coil or one of the other patented threaded inserts. The front side headers are easier to get at (from underneath- use Rhino ramps and wheel chocks-work safe)than the rear ones, which require the right angle drill and such. Either way, you will get metal chips and oil in your face. My preference is to replace the feeble bolts with proper studs, washers and nuts, which can be gently ground off if they rust up. Use anti-seize. Real mechanics and other listees may have other, more elegant suggestions Good luck, amigo. George
