Welcome to the list, Joel,

I think you'll find that the folks here are really a great bunch of guys and gals.

As a group, we sometimes tend to be something like a Submarine crew (tight knit and family like).

When a new person (read non-qual ... er... that's no dolphins, yet) comes aboard, they tend to be subjected to some sort of rite of
passage while they learn the boat ...... all in fun .... tradition ... whatever.  I've seen similarities here.

Anyway .... no one here (to my knowledge and experience) means any harm and most, if not all, will go to great lengths to help
another Vanagonaut ..... even when they say things like, "Westphalia" .... LOL.

Frequently you'll see a recommendation to check the archives for answers to fairly common questions .... but .... even after
checking there ... I often still have questions.  Sometimes I'll find lots of "Questions" there .... and even lots of
"Recommendations" but only sometimes absolute answers .... or feedback saying, "This is what it turned out to be for me".  One of
the reasons is ... some of the best info is sometimes provided by personal mail and never sees the list (or archives).

Anyway, glad you're here.

BTW .... I like my coffee blonde and sweet    ; )
