I am looking for photos, web pages, advice, plans, material, etc to fabricate a few rear bumpers. It seems that every vanagon i know has some sort of love-tap/dent in their rear bumpers. I have access to welders, cutters, mills, etc (no bender though) and would like to make a burley bumper for my bus. I want the bumper to be conservative looking. Some add-on i was playing with are a hitch receiver, reverse lights flush mounted, brake lights flush mounted, bike rack receiver. I would like to make the bumper stick out about 2 or 3" farther than it currently does so I can use it as a step as necessary.
