Hi Guys, with the racecar behind the Vanagon it IS hard to stop, definitely ;-) But I am almost finisdhed with my brake conversion. The front vented Audi discs and calipers are great, exactly like the Oettinger ones. I am driving the Audis for ca. 300km now on my T3 after using Oettingerīs for almost 3 years now. Same braking ratios, but a lot cheaper. And the rear disc system is almost complete. I have the calipers and rotors on the "test axle", the handbrake also works. Only some minor cosmetic things to do. Photos will be available in the next days. When the rear system looks nice, too, I will install these on my V6-Vanagon and test drive the complete setup. Then Iīll look for a TUV station here in Germany to legalize it. I am thinking about selling these kits complete for ca. half the price of a Porsche brake system. Since you people overseas donīt need no TUV legalization (do you?), the setup could be available sooner (after enough testings). Raimund |
