how fast are you running it? with the front end up the h20 pump wont pump the coolant up to the the raditor bleed screw when idling. you will have to run it about 2000 rmp (on an 86) to get the coolant to come outthe bleed screw higher or lower rpm's depending on how high the front of the van is. if you carefuly inspect a vanagon radiator the coolant goes in the bottom then has to get pushed all the way up the height of the radiator before encountering hte bleed screw and then "waterfalling" through hte heat exchanger before going out the outlet. I guess this is one consequence of piping coolant 10 feet to the radiator?

Let us know how you make out.
