Normal fiberglass is made using polyester resin (as is carbon-fiber).
Epoxies or other plastics can be used instead, but ALL are flammable.
The glass fibers will not burn but they are likely to melt.


Pretty certain my lid is molded polyester or similar, not fiberglass
of any kind (but it's not available for me to look at).
