If you didn't bore the holes out too far on the fronts, they should still work. You cna make the ones in the rear work as well if you use a spacer behind the wheel.

You cna also usea center cap for an older VW I don't have the part number handy ut it starts with 311 ------- Maybe that's for a Type 3. Anyway, black center caps which have to be glued on to the center. Then use black plastic lugnut caps from a Cabrio or something similar. Very nice effect.

Another solution is to use billet aftermarket Porsche-style alloy caps which have three screws to hold them in place. The ywill require a center cap spacer to work in the rear unless you have a spacer on the wheel already. You can see some of these on my Alternative wheels page. There is a pic of my gold 87 GL.
