Subject: gas mileage

Can anybody give me an idea about what would constitute reasonable gas mileage in my '86 Westy? We've been driving a '91 Vista for the last 12 years and I can't remember what kind of performance we got from our '71 Westy before that. Thanks to all of you who responded to my request for leads re: awnings - I think I have a handle on that, now. We took Bruno for our inaugural overnight on the weekend and had a wonderful time rediscovering, after all this time, how great it was not to have to pack up a wet tent in the rain!

Here's a question - what would you consider absolutely necessary to be included in a Westy tool kit when going on a relatively remote, 2-3 week wander? Like I say, it's been a few years since we last worried about this kind of stuff.

Thanks for any info/advice
