How true. Just got my repair bill as I had a blown out exhaust system and front brakes that were so toasted the rotors had 1/16" scores in them. This shows the importance of tracking down a good mechanic - here's my bill: Parts $102.55 Labor $85. "Front brake job: New rotors, remove bearings, clean and repack, new pads." Parts $20.00 Labor $65 "R&R rear exhaust crack(ed) pipe. Weld flange to pipe on #3 + #4 side. Remove broken bolt from head on #1 + #2 side and retap. New gaskets.

???? $85 labor for a front brake job with new rotors????? This guy is going to get one hell of a big Christmas present! Why would I even bother to do my own work when prices are this low? $15 for an oil change including oil!
