Subject: Propane tank color-- need to knw ASAP
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I need to know what color propane tanks were on new campers. Does anyone know? Were they the color of the van or black?

I've had my tank sand blasted to get the dirt, grit and rust off and I'm having my tank powder coated. That for those who do not know is a process where they bake on enamel similar to bike frames and operating room equipment. It is very durable and almost rust proof.

I've chosen semi gloss black to keep the tank unobtrusive but have the option to change color tomorrow early AM Pacific Standard Time.

I'd like to know if original equipment painted the tank the color of the vehicle or another color? My mechanic says go with black to not draw attention to it as some people steal propane for their heating, especially in poor areas.

Please advise, William
