Of course this is a contriversal topic. But I just installed a Yakima rack to my 85 Westy. The bare rack with locks & installation was around $300.00 from www.sportsrack.com

I can give you specific part numbers and names if required.

If it is just 1-2 bikes you want to carry I'd go with Gary Lee's custom made rear hatch rack. ~$225.00 with shipping.

Each will skills require Yakima bike, Kayak or whatever you want to carry hardware.
