I'd guess that the leak is likely from between the cooler and filter flange,
which I believe uses an O-ring. The cooler on my Jetta TD came loose a
while back (although not enough to leak), and I just tightened the nut
during a filter change. It is a *large* nut, possibly 30mm. Try turning the oil
cooler to see if it is loose.Shawn Wright
