Remove the low pressure return from the metal hose in the engine compartment. (This is the top hose coming from reservoir)

Take the rubber line and put it at a higher level than the reservoir to keep it from spilling out the hose.

Put a hose on the metal pipe and run it to a bucket.

Have an assistant crank the engine and slowly turn the wheels back and forth lock to lock.

Keep the reservoir filled as the fluid will drain fast.

When the fluid changes color, it is flushed.

It take about 3 quarts to flush it out.

I changed to full synthetic to make it run and turn a bit better. Been on synthetic for over 2 years with no leaks. Flushed it twice with this method with no problems.

When flushed put the hose back on and clean up any spilt fluid.

You do not want it to run dry or it will get air trapped in the rack (read this in the archives)

Robert
