Well, I did buy a certain rusty Syncro Weekender from a former listee which had a disassembled Syncro tranny. It was all stuffed in a huge cardboard box. This listee assured me that everything removed from was put into this box.

Along with the broken tranny (3rd/4th slider) was a complete set of new Mahle cylinders and pistons, round headlight buckets, a boat steering wheel clothes dryer, about 50 lbs of miscellaneous cables, air-cooled heads, sectioned rear quarter panel and enough pieces to put a bug tranny together.

I called the guy to ask me what to do with the extra stuff. Before I could finish telling him what I found, he starts swearing to me that everything taken out of the tranny is in box and that's all that's in there.

Hmmmmm.... I sold the extra parts. And yes I kept the $300+ in cash. Sold the Syncro for 150% of what I paid to pay for another Syncro. Good deal, eh? So Roger are you sorry you didn't buy it now?

Listee called me last month to say that he was sorry but he just fund out that there were more parts in his garage that was taken out of the tranny. (Note to self: Get some of whatever stuff he's on.)
