Subject: WTB: Passenger Van
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Thanks for the replies to my previous post on this subject. Perhaps I did not make it clear that I wanted a "non-Westy" van. A large part of the reason I loved my Vanagon was for the large cargo space, open passenger space (I've got four (4) kids), and ability to haul 4X8 plywood, etc.

I just bought a '90 Misubishi Eclipse (I also own a '92 full size Chevy Conversion Van for the kids). Talk about 180 degree difference from the Vanagon (the Eclipse is essentially a two seater w/ 195 hp (turbo)). So I have time to shop for my next Vanagon.

But dig this, when I picked up my twelve (12) year son for the first time in the Eclipse (he was the only person with me so he sat in the passenger seat, not the non-existent back seat), he said the car was OK, but not as good as my '83 Vanagon.

So, I'm still in the market for a Vanagon passenger van in the Indianapolis area. I will travel, but not to California (or FLA, etc.)

Again, PLEASE respond to Vanagon40@aol.com so the message will not get lost in the list traffic (I will also respond faster as I check my AOL mail almost daily, unlike my Hotmail account). If you previously sent me a reply, but did NOT get a response, I missed your e-mail, try again.

Thanks again,

JTF
