Matthew, I have always heard that the round vanagon light pattern was much better than the square. I think there was a thread on this last year. You will also find that "quality" H4 replacement round units will be a dramatic improvement over the standard halogen sealed beam round units or square units. All this said, my westy has Sylvania halogen sealed beams that I salvaged off my RX7 parts car.. They work.
