I am rebuilding my entire Westy, paint, interior rust, heat, noise as well as the 2.0 engine. I am looking for advice on my rebuild. I am new to the arena of VW engine rebuilds. I have a reputable (I think) mechanic, but I thought I would throw this out there for some response from the great wealth of info on the list serve. My priorities in the rebuild are, first - dependability, second - adequate performance (only enough to tour around comfortably) and third - maintaining or improving good gas mileage. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on things I should know , or ask my mechanic about, products to use/avoid etc in this project. Ron Schlamp r.schlamp@sk.sympatico.ca |
