Julianna, There are two horn contacts in the steering wheel assembly. The culprit is usually the bottom contact. It is supposed to be lubircated with petroleum jelly of some kind. Anyway, that's the piece that pops-up with a tang that's supposed to ride against the brass ring on the steering wheel. It is removable. I have replaced mine from a donor vehicle. I don't know it the dealer sells it new. The contact ring under the steering wheel should be removable as well but I haven't tried yet. Sounds like Stan has. Used steering wheels are plentiful and cheap enough around here that I find easier to swap in a wheel rather than deal with replacing the ring. BenT |
