Here's the instructions for O2 sensor splicing. Thanks to Ron at Bus Depot for the Extraordinary Service! I'm new to the list and this is my first order to Bus Depot, won't be my last. Thanks, Ron for your fast response. Paul Mayfield

Ron at Bus Depot writes: There are one black and two white wires. The whites are interchangeable so it's easy to figure out which goes where. Cut the factory plug off of the old sensor, a few inches from the plug. Cut the generic Ford plug off of the new sensor at about the same place. Splice the factory plug from the old sensor in place of the generic plug on the new one. You want a good connection that will also be relatively waterproof so your sensor doesn't ground out the first time you hit a mud puddle. Solder it. Or use one of several waterproof splicing connectors available very inexpensively at Home Depot, etc, which are designed for splicing outdoor electrical wiring. Just don't twist them together and cover them with duct tape. :-) - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. (215) 234-VWVW www.busdepot.com |
