BBQ chicken is best eaten with two forks. To get the Mills pin out of the press fit hole, a flat headed punch sometimes referred to as a drift can be used like the hand crafted one Wm used. If you have two of these drifts you can use one to align the holes by sliding it into the assembly. It will hold the assembly together while you tap in the Mills pin with the other or with another tool like the second hammer head in a previous post. The Mills pin will drive out the drift as it seats in the assembly. A little nail polish or vibratite or low torque loctite will keep those pesky socket head screws from backing out again. pensioner |
