Actually I was being a wee bit facetious. In all my years of engine work and driving I have never broken a bolt or had a breakdown on the road, so it works for me. In fact it seemed like these responses were an affirmation of the gung-ho testosterone saturated style that REAL men use thereby requiring the torque wrench. Entity developtrust spoke thus: > I love your quote, below. It is a keeper for me. > > This is what good teachers do all the time. They know how, but allow failure > in order to allow learning to evolve from within the student. > > Thanks for that beautiful gem. > > William > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Gnarlodious" <Gnarlodious@EARTHLINK.NET> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2001 6:05 PM > Subject: Re: Torque Wench > > >> Entity Sudhir Desai spoke thus: >> >>> um... i would like to have a couple stern words with >>> whomever feels it is unnecessary to use a torque >>> wrench >> >> To which Gnarlodious responds: >> >> "The most difficult thing in the world is to know how to do a thing and to >> watch someone else do it wrong without comment." -- Theodore H.
