Major PITA but doable.

Loosen the antenna base. Take off the instrument cluster & push the connectors out of the way. Remove the antenna wire from the back of the radio. Then comes the fun. Alternately pull the antenna out until the wire snags, then reach in past the brake/clutch fluid resevior and the master cylindars and free the antenna wire from whatever it's snagging on. Repeat until you get the thing out. You shouldn't get more than 3 or 4 small cuts on your hand from the sharp edges behind the dash.

Yet another reason to shoot any bean-counter who works for the auto manufacturing industry.
