Yes, indeed. the vanagon caliper uses M16 bolts, the Audi M12. The Audi caliper sits a bit lower than the vanagon´s because of this adapter. The dust palte behind the disc has to be cut away a bit (the lower rear part) to make room for the Audi-caliper.

The adapter is from heavy-duty steel and one-part, not welded or anything. So is the rear with a new designed dust plate bolted on.
