I have done it in such a fashion, when i removed the antenna from the car, i cut the wire, attached my new wire end to it with tape, disconnected the wire from the back of the stereo and pulled it out thru the ashtray opening.........that was back when i used to avoid pulling the dash......now I am always pulling the dash to wire something and it would just be left on my to do list when i pull the dash.
