I enjoy "JYW" but only on a light side of things... do you honestly think that show is for real??? "hey guys... look at this V8 motor I found... whatda know... it runs with only 5 minutes of work!", everything always always works out, the expert that helps that teams have a pre-concieved design with all the necessary stuff planted in the "junk yard" - nice to watch the work that goes on, which is for the most part pretty good.

I never miss a show, but I take it with a grain of salt too...

Has anyonew seen the TV program "Junkyard Wars"? I'm curious as to what the backyard mechanics on this list think of it. Its a program where 2 teams of four people have to put together some king of contraption in 10 hours by hunting components down in a huge scrapyard. Each team has a full workshop to make use of. Some projects have been: an amphibious vehicle, a dragster, a hovercraft, a medieval catapult, a cannon etc. If you have not seen it and are into tinkeriing, its a fascinating program.
