hey list--

having trouble with hesitation on acceleration...although idle/timing are set correctly and, as best as i can tell, all sensors are functioning properly and all vacuum lines are tight, my 84 hesitates and bucks on acceleration...the hesitation has two distinguishing characteristics: 1) it only happens in the middle of the power curve for each gear and 2) it is intermittant, i.e. 1 time out of every 10 times i start the thing and drive off, everything works fine...any ideas???...could this be a sign of a faulty ecu??...

also, and perhaps related, what is accomplished by installing the afm wire upgrade??...i've heard about this a handfull of times and have seen one for sale on ebay, but don't know anything about it...

any ideas or references to the archives would be appreciated...

many thanks seth bruggeman
