I tried that, but then blew a fuse messing with a screwdriver not knowing
what I was doing. Replaced it and fixed my lighter from the outside with a
wooden stick to bend the inside tabs to hold the lighter in properly. I was
going to replace the lighter receptacle which I thought was faulty. It just
needed a tweak. Thanks for the tips on removal. Might come in handy in the
future, now that I know how to.

incidentally my alarm system is hooked up to the same fuse and boy did I
discover that in a hurry. Without a fuse the alarm goes off ASAP if you try
to lock or unlock the vehicle. Good theft prevention but scared the
h%&**$#^& out of me.
