>Anybody managed to get online in a mobile way? > Only on the mobile phone! You've not really lived until you navigate the archives on a 100 character screen the size of a postage stamp. I have a friend with a spare INMARSAT phone that uplinked their laptop on a circumnavigation (by tall ship). It's slow, and expensive, but if anyone's interested I think it's for sale. http://www.inmarsat.org/index.cfm Also for sale, my father has a ridiculous little e-mail console out of a US tank during the gulf war. It's even slower, and more expensive... but hey: milspec! I don't know what network this runs on, but will get details (and price) if anyone's interested.
