Max,

Approx nxt July I plan on being "On the Road" full time in my 85 Westy. Perhaps as long as 1 yr or more.

So this area is of particular interest to me.

Have researched options a bit. A Co "SatCom" is coming out with 2-way Satellite Internet. But it's way expensive ... hardware ~$5k & download costs could easily exceed $100-$200 per mnth. Not an option for me.

The only other I know of is Digital/analog cell phone type connection. I have this now, for backup. Get speeds frm 14k - 19k. Good enough for email, but as someone already pointed out ... way slow for surfing. I can search the archives ..... but it takes forever.

If anyone knows any other options or soon to be available affordable technology ...... that would be sweet!

P/S ..... since I'll be "Fulltiming" .... I did add a small Satellite TV system as a consolation. Gotta keep up with CNN, NFL & Simsons.
