The rear wiper is intermittent only. When you push the lever away from you, you both squirt washer fluid and turn on the wiper. When you push the lever away from you a second time, you both squirt more washer fluid and turn the wiper off. This puzzled me in my old GTI for months before I figured it out... bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...."
