Hi all, My newly purchased 1990 Vanagon is having some problems with its oil light. The light comes on and blinks on ignition and stay on at idle and thoughout the RPM range (above and below 2500) until the engine warms up. After the van warms up, the light goes off at low RPMs, but comes back on when the engine reaches 2500 or so. Any chance this is just a bad High Pressure sensor. From reading the info on vanagon.com, I get the impression that the light is accompanied by a buzzer sound. I don't get any auditory warning other than a High-Low alternation when I first start the car (but this may not be the same warning). wade |
