> Re: [vanagon] power locks malfunction This is a common problem with the power door locks. What is happening is this: The contacts inside the switches for the power doors lock mechanisms have become corroded or worn out, most lonely corroded? You will need to remove all three (two front door and sliding door) power door lock mechanisms. Open them up, clean all the electrical contacts inside, relube with dielectric grease, reassemble making sure the unit is sealed well (use silicon sealant if necessary), make sure the rubber boot is intact, if not use silicon sealant here again, then reinstall using dielectric grease on all the wire connection terminals. You need to do all three as it is impossible to determine which switch is at fault as all three are interconnected.
